Christian views on Polygamy

The bible Darby translation of Ecclesiastes 2:8 says I gathered me also silver and gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings and of the provinces; I got me men-singers and women-singers, and the delights of the children of men, a wife and concubines. Ecclesiastes 2:8 Also can be found in the Revised Standard. King James decided not to translate concubines instead King James bible translators used the word musical instruments. What were they covering up? We know he did not like women. The Hebrew word in question, “shiddah”, is translated in the Strongs Hebrew Lexicon as concubine, wife, or harem. YHWH word said it was a blessing to have wives and concubines. Makes you think. billy.bolitho@yahoo.co.uk Christian Polygamy take its teaching from the Old and New Testament Scriptures. It is a belief held mostly by evangelical, conservative Christians, who believe the Word of God, many have found good Christian wives. Link — explains it well click Biblical Polygamy “Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. …While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; …And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage:” Jesus described Himself in a parable of a polygamy marriage, the true teachings of Jesus.
