The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ac 1:11)

THE BLOOD OF JESUS

The Bible speaks of us as a chosen generation and a royal priesthood, and has made us kings and priests unto God. When we approach the throne of God, we must offer the blood of Jesus as it is written in the book of Hebrews 10 v 19, “Having therefore, brethren boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus”.
We must cover our prayers and His promises and our families with the blood of Jesus by speaking out loud. When the children of Israel collected manna, it was good for that day only. The blood of Jesus must be offered to God every new day, as the duty of the New Testament Priests, which we are. No evil power will be able to hinder your prayers to God when you plead the blood before the throne of Almighty God.

Moses, who belonged to the Old Testament Priesthood would sprinkle the blood over the Word of God and over the people of God. We sprinkle the blood of Jesus by speaking the blood of Jesus over God’s promises and our bodies and our families. So keep under the blood. The blood protects you only if you are under it’s awesome power. The children of Israel were safe while they stayed in their houses, where the blood was applied to the doorposts and lintels. If they came out the angel of death would have destroyed them. So, keep close to Jesus and let your testimony be today, and every day, “The Blood, the Blood of Jesus sets me free, protecting me and my family”. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death”. {Revelation 12 v 11}.

WATER BAPTISM

Water Baptism

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” {St Matthew 28 v 19}.

I will never forget the time many years ago, when the Lord spoke to me through a Pastor, who was preaching on water baptism. Now I was saved and baptised in the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, but here was this Pastor preaching that it is a commandment of the Lord. I was feeling really uneasy; I really did not want to hear him preach on this subject. He gave a call to the front of the church, for those who wanted to be baptised, and for those who felt that they could not come to the front; he said to see him afterwards. He stated categorically that it was a commandment of the Lord, and that we must be baptised according to the words of Jesus. Well, I rejected it, you know like you do, I started to reason with myself, I’m born again, I’m baptised in the Spirit, I don’t have to be baptised, I’m still going to heaven. After convincing myself I went home.

During that afternoon, when I was reading my Bible, I came under great conviction. For I was reading a passage in the Bible in St Matthew 21 v 28, about a “certain man who had two sons; and he came to the first and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard. He answered and said I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. And he came to the second Son and said likewise. And he answered and said. I go, sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his father?”

After reading this scripture the Lord said, “You are like the first son, you said you will not be baptised, but you will.” When the Lord said this I immediately said to my wife, “I must be baptised”, she replied, “the Lord has been speaking to me as well”. So I phoned David Rutter our Pastor and he was delighted to baptise us in the sea at Hayle. What a great day that was.

Now, I believe there is a very special time for you to be baptised in the water, for God has a time for everything, if you feel that the Lord is speaking to you through the words of Jesus, then please obey Him today and know the great blessing that He has for you.

“Buried with Christ,” and raised with Him too; What is there left for me to do? Simply to cease from struggling and strife, Simply to “walk in newness of life,”

“Risen with Christ,” my glorious Head, Holiness now the pathway I tread, Beautiful thought, while walking therein: “He that is dead is freed from sin.”

BAPTISED IN THE HOLY GHOST

Baptised In The Holy Ghost

Have you ever wondered why some Christians do not believe like you believe? Yes, they are good and kind, but when it comes to the things of the Spirit they seem to be on a different wavelength. They don’t understand when you say that you see visions, and speak in an unknown tongue or hear God speaking to you, and feeling Jesus ever so close in times of great need. I wonder if the reason could be that they have not received the baptism of the Holy Ghost? Yes, they have received Jesus and are true Christians, but the Holy Ghost is not real to them and the things of the Spirit seem very strange.

Well, we read about Christians in Samaria in the Acts of the Apostles chapter 8, who accepted Jesus but did not receive the Holy Ghost in all His fullness, they were only baptised in the name of Jesus. So, when Peter and John came down from Jerusalem they prayed that they might receive the Holy Ghost, and when they laid their hands upon the believers they received. Let us pray for all Christians that they might receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, thus coming to know Jesus in all His fullness. For Jesus said, “For John truly baptised with water, but ye shall be baptised with the Holy Ghost.”

So you see we all need to be baptised in the Holy Ghost just as we all need to be baptised in water. If you feel that you have not received the baptism of the Holy Ghost when you were saved, (because not everyone receives the baptism automatically), then pray now and ask Jesus, for He will surely give you the Holy Ghost in all its fullness.

Dear Saints, the Lord has laid upon my heart for you this scripture, “Ask, and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you, for everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened”. {Matthew 7 v 7 & 8}. Do make this your prayer today and you will receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Jesus said “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him; but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

{St John 14 v 17}.

Come now, ye sons of men, This message now receive,
The Holy Ghost is given To all who will believe,
Ye too may know His mighty power,
And Speak with tongues this hour.
